Recovering from Neurotoxins

Neurotoxin appointments typically involve minimal downtime. A few simple precautions in the first day help ensure the best result. These are general guidelines, your personalized aftercare instructions always take precedence.

  1. Day 0

Avoid rubbing or massaging the treated areas, lying flat for the first several hours, and strenuous exercise for the rest of the day. Small bumps at injection sites settle quickly.

  2. Day 1

Any pinpoint redness or minor bruising can be concealed with makeup. Normal activities resume fully.

  3. Days 2-3

You may begin to notice the treatment starting to take effect. This is gradual and varies by individual.

  4. Week 1

Effects continue to develop. Most patients see their result approaching its full effect toward the end of the first week.

  5. Weeks 2-6

Results are typically fully visible by two weeks. If a touch-up review is planned, it usually occurs at this point.
