Recovering from Dermal Fillers
Mild swelling and the possibility of bruising are the main considerations after filler. Plan social events with a comfortable buffer. These are general guidelines, your personalized aftercare instructions always take precedence.
Day 0
Ice gently as directed. Avoid alcohol, strenuous exercise, and touching or pressing on treated areas. Some asymmetry from swelling is normal at this stage.
Day 1
Swelling is often most noticeable the morning after. This is expected and not a reflection of your final result.
Days 2-3
Swelling begins to settle. Bruising, if present, evolves and can be covered with makeup in most cases.
Week 1
Most swelling has resolved. The treated area feels more natural as the filler integrates.
Weeks 2-6
The final result settles in. Any follow-up assessment is usually scheduled in this window.
