LaseMD at Gerrish MedEsthetics

Refined Tone and Renewed Radiance With Gentle Laser Resurfacing.

LaseMD by Lutronic uses a non-ablative fractional thulium laser to improve tone, texture, and radiance while helping to soften sun damage and pigmentation, often with minimal downtime. Every treatment follows protocols developed by Dr. Scott Gerrish, whose engineering background informs how laser energy is tailored to your skin.

Why Patients Consider LaseMD

When Your Complexion Loses Its Natural Glow

Sun exposure, time, and daily stress can leave skin looking dull, uneven, and rough to the touch. Brown spots and a lackluster surface can make your complexion feel tired, even when you feel anything but.

LaseMD Explained

How LaseMD Works

LaseMD delivers a non-ablative fractional thulium laser at 1927nm, creating microscopic channels in the skin to stimulate renewal while leaving surrounding tissue intact. This encourages the skin's natural healing response and can improve tone, texture, and clarity. When appropriate, a cosmeceutical serum may be applied to take advantage of the freshly prepared skin, and the treating clinician tailors the intensity to your goals and comfort.

The Experience

What LaseMD Treatment and Recovery Involve

Preparation and numbing

Our Clinical Team determines the right LaseMD intensity for your goals, then the area is cleansed and a numbing cream is applied for comfort when appropriate.

During treatment

The handpiece passes over the skin, delivering fractional laser energy across the treatment area. Most patients describe a warm, prickling sensation, and when appropriate a cosmeceutical serum may be applied to take advantage of the freshly prepared skin.

Recovery

Redness and a warm, sunburned sensation are common and typically settle within a day or two, with light flaking possible for a few days depending on the intensity. Most patients resume their routine quickly with diligent sun protection.

Results and series

Skin looks brighter and smoother in the days and weeks that follow. Many patients enjoy a refresh from a single session, while a series is often recommended for more noticeable improvement.

Where This Fits in Your Treatment Strategy

LaseMD is often considered when tone, sun damage, and early texture change are the main concerns, or when a gentler laser approach fits your skin and schedule better. The consultation determines whether LaseMD or a different resurfacing option belongs in your plan.

You do not need to know whether this is the right treatment before you arrive. That is exactly why the consultation comes first.
