Recovering from miraDry

Most patients return to normal daily activities quickly after miraDry. Swelling and tenderness under the arms are expected parts of normal healing. These are general guidelines, your personalized aftercare instructions always take precedence.

  1. Day 0

Apply ice packs as directed in gentle intervals. Mild swelling, numbness, and tenderness under the arms are expected. Take it easy for the rest of the day.

  2. Day 1

Continue icing as needed and take over-the-counter pain relief as directed. Most patients return to desk work and normal routines. Avoid vigorous exercise.

  3. Days 2-3

Swelling may peak during this window before it begins to settle. Small lumps or firmness under the skin are a common part of healing. Keep the area clean and avoid harsh deodorants if the skin feels sensitive.

  4. Week 1

Tenderness continues to ease. Light exercise can usually resume as comfort allows. Numbness or tingling in the treated area is common and typically temporary.

  5. Weeks 2-6

Residual firmness and mild swelling gradually resolve. Many patients notice their reduction in sweating during this period. Sensation continues to normalize.
